Knitting Knights: Beyond the Sounds of ABC
Did you know that the single letters of the alphabet do not tell the whole story of English? Forty-eight letter teams, called multi-letter phonograms, work together to make specific sounds. Rhyme and rhythm, combined with Ingrid Hess' whimsical art, engage children in discovering and learning all the sounds of twenty-eight multi-letter phonograms. A great way to explore the phonograms introduced in Foundations C!
- CI says /sh/ as in ancient, musician, glacier
- EY says two sounds as in they, key
This playful introduction to the sounds opens the door to reading and is certain to be a read-aloud favorite.
