Logic of English Teacher Training June 20-23

The Logic of English Teacher Training is a 4-day conference equivalent to 30 professional development hours and has three tracks to meet the needs of teachers implementing the Science of Reading! This training will help you:
- Understand the relationships between the neuroscience of reading, the Simple View of Reading and orthographic mapping to gain further insights into how to teach the five essential skills of reading.
- Learn the phonograms and spelling rules that explain 98% of English words.
- Discover how to systematically teach high-frequency words using accurate phonics and spelling rules.
- Bridge the gap between theory and practice with practical strategies for teaching reading, writing, and spelling.
- Bring fun games and learning activities back to your classroom.
This professional development training is hosted by Logic of English and will be held at the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area in Rochester, Minnesota. See travel details below for information on discounted hotel rates and booking incentives.
*There are no prerequisites or prior experience required. Teachers and administrators are encouraged to take this training to expand their knowledge of the Science of Reading and discover strategies for teaching students of all ages.

*The Logic of English Teacher Training 2023 will be recorded for online purposes, and participants will be asked to sign a photo release form prior to the conference.
Travel Details
The Logic of English Teacher Training will be located in downtown Rochester, MN. The downtown area has an abundance of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Logic of English has reserved blocks of rooms at a discounted rate at the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area hotel (on 1st Ave SW) and Kahler Grand Hotel (on 2nd Ave SW). All paid registrants who reserve a room in one of these blocks will receive a $150 Logic of English gift card that can be used to purchase products on site! Attendees who have received a scholarship for the training are not eligible for the gift card.
The training is located in the ballroom on the second floor of the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area hotel (1st Ave SW).
The Kahler Grand Hotel is across Peace Plaza from the Marriott, with entrances from 2nd Ave SW (closest to the hotel registration desk), Center Street and the Peace Plaza. There is indoor access to the training directly from the Kahler through the skyway on Level M.
Two airports service the Rochester area: MSP and RST.
If flying into MSP, it is recommended to take a shuttle with either Groome Transportation or Rochester Shuttle Service. MSP is approximately a 1 hour and 20 min drive from Rochester.
If flying into RST, it is recommended to take a shuttle with either Groome Transportation or Rochester Shuttle Service. RST is 8 miles from downtown Rochester.

*Foundations and Essentials are complete language arts curriculums based on the Science of Reading.
